START YOUR ENTRYLegacy teams across the UK could not possibly achieve the level of success they do without the wide range of support they receive from a skilled network of volunteers. This category seeks to reward the considerable efforts of one such person.
The Legacy Volunteer of the Year could work in a range or settings for your charity: from legacy fundraising in your local community, taking on a legacy team support role at one of your sites, or working as a part of your office legacy team - but in whichever scenario – they are an invaluable member of your legacy giving team.
This award will recognise:
The award will recognise an outstanding volunteer who is seen as an essential member of your legacy giving team. The winner will be an individual who donates their free time to support your cause with their knowledge, energy and enthusiasm, and can use their skills to benefit your legacy giving strategy. Their volunteering work may include tasks such as (but not limited to) explaining the basics of gifts in wills to enquirers, connecting with supporters & pledgers, working at one of your sites or shops, helping at legacy events, or working in your legacy team.
Judges will be particularly interested in:
Judges will be particularly interested in entries that clearly explain why this volunteer is truly a star of the sector – who is a vital, skilled and enthusiastic member of your team.
Eligibility
This award is open to a nominated individual who volunteers for the legacy giving team within a charity.
For this category, volunteer individuals must be nominated by a colleague – they cannot nominate themselves.
The person submitting the entry will be the “lead” contact. We will not contact the nominated individual before shortlisting has taken place.
