START YOUR ENTRY

Building and launching a first legacy programme is a considerable, and often daunting, task for any charity. With many steps from initial idea to full launch, the considerable investment involved, and with many internal and external stakeholders to engage, educate, and motivate, this award will recognise the effort, perseverance, and agility needed to successfully launch a charity’s first venture into legacy giving.

This will be an example that other charities could use as a template to motivate their team or  as a guide for their own programme launch. This award is for a new (first) legacy programme at a charity.

Judges will be particularly interested in:

Judges will be particularly interested in entries that display ambition and confidence,  clear metrics on progress, and show an effective and appropriate use of a charity’s internal resource and skills. You will be asked to reveal your achievements and outcomes from a newly launched legacy programme (less than 3 years since launch) with a focus on the 12-18 months up to the awards entry deadline.

Eligibility

This award is open to charity professionals working in or with legacy giving teams.

Please include up to 3 visual examples /links or images to illustrate your entry.

Ambition

Demonstrate how you achieved your ambitious yet realistic goal with the new legacy programme.

Excellence

Detail the engagement and buy-in across your charity with your new launch.

Achievement

Show clear measurable data on its impact so far: e.g., number of new pledgers, legacy income pipeline and donor engagement.
